A surprise for customers: nine hot air balloons in Friedewald – strong wind prevents take-off
27.05.11 – COMPANY NEWS – Last Friday in Friedewald, the Kassel-based advertising agency mgw Dokumentationen und Werbetechnik GmbH came up with an unusual idea. And it was to be a surprise for the participants at a customer conference: nine hot air balloons were due to take to the air. However, a strong wind on the Thursday evening upset plans for the event. It was simply too dangerous. The balloonists from all over Germany were at least able to take their baskets out of the trailers and speak to the conference participants.
“Organising these events always presents us with a new challenge, particularly this year. Our aim was to get around 90 people into the air with the help of a professional balloon team and have them fly over Friedewald, hopefully in fine weather. Unfortunately, the wind was so strong that the balloons couldn’t take off. Nevertheless, the balloon teams and guests enjoyed meeting and talking at the start venue. Everyone understood that nothing can be done about the weather. The atmosphere was very good,” explained managing director Monika Geiger-Weiß.
Customers of the service company mgw Service GmbH & Co. KG (not to be confused with the advertising agency) have already been guests in Friedewald. Among other things, they met at the Merkers Adventure Mine. +++
